Indonesian Culinary Delight in Bansko

The Mayor of Bansko expressed his appreciation to Ambassador Inkiriwang and the Embassy for organizing the event. He added that for the first time, Bansko became the host to several ambassadors. He invited the Ambassadors to informally visit his office the next day.
Bansko is situated 150 km from Sofia, at the foot of Pirin Mountain. It has the largest ski resort in Bulgaria and usually hosts many domestic and foreign tourists during the winter.

On 18 December 2008, in
Restaurant Chobanov Han in the winter resort town of Bansko the Indonesian
Culinary Delight was held by the Embassy in cooperation with Petrov &
Sons Investment
and Honolulu VIS Limited. The culinary event was opened
by Ambassador Inkiriwang and attended by ambassadors and representatives
from 5 embassies in Sofia along with their family. Albanian
Ambassador, H.E. Mr. Bujar Skendo and spouse; Georgian Ambassador,
H.E. Mr. Mikheil Ukleba with spouse and children; North Korean Ambassador,
H.E. Mr. Jo Sung Joo with spouse and staff; Ukrainian Ambassador, H.E.
Mr. Viktor Kalnyk and spouse; and Charge d'Affaires of Kazakhstan's
Embassy, Mr. Serzhan Abdykarimov with staff were among the special guests. The event
was also attended by the Mayor of Bansko, Mr. Alexander Kravarov, Deputy
Mayors, Mr. Petar Baryakov and Mr. Lazar Zahov;
Several Indonesian food, ofcourse, were served
to the guests while Pesona Mawar Nusantara (Enchanting Roses of
the Archipelago) dance group entertained them with 3 Indonesian
dances, Tak Tong Tong, Puspita and Merak. Many of the guests took the opportunity to pose with the Pesona Mawar
Nusantara after ther dances.
The meeting between the Ambassadors and the Mayor of
Bansko who was joined by Deputy Mayors and the Secretary of the Municipality took
place at 10.00 AM on 19 December 2008 in the Mayor's office. At the
meeting, the Mayor of Bansko again reiterated his appreciation for the
initiative taken by the Indonesian Ambassador for hosting the Indonesia event the
night before. Ambassador Inkiriwang expressed his appreciation to the
Mayor for his warm hospitality. The Mayor took Ambassador Inkiriwang's suggestion to invite
all the foreign Ambassadors in Sofia to attend the Alpine Discipline Ski World
Cup to be held in Bansko, 28 February - 1 March 2009. The Ambassadors
expressed their appreciation both to the Mayor for his hospitality and
Ambassador Inkiriwang for organizing the Indonesian Culinary Delight.
The Ambassadors noted that Ambassador Inkiriwang has been very active in
enhancing good relations among diplomatic communities, and between
diplomatic communities and their Bulgarian counterparts.
