Offshore Oil at NTB Being Surveyed

 A team from the Upstream Oil and Gas Regulator Agency (BP Migas) will survey offshore oil in Sumbawa, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), on December 3-6, as it is conveyed by head of the Mining and Energy Department in NTB, Heryadi Rahmat, to Tempo, Friday (28/11). “When the survey is done, we will report the results to the Governor,” he said.

He mentioned two locations to be explored. The first location is 3,979 kilometer square in the northeast. It is 78 kilometers away to the north of Moyo Island in the Sumbawa Regency.

Second is 4,020 kilometers square in East Java Lombok Basin. It is 11,9 miles from Lombok.

For this project, the NTB provincial government will improve its basic utilities such as the water supply.
