Indonesian Foreign Minister Marty Natalegawa says most Indonesians living in Libya have left the country since tensions between Moamar Khadaffi and those against him have intensified.

"Two days ago, the [Indonesian] ambassador and embassy staff left Tripoli for Tunis," Marty said Wednesday.

The ambassador and staff would continue to work from Tunis, the capital of Tunisia, he added.

Marty further said that four ambassadorial staffers had remained behind at the Indonesian embassy in Libya to help any Indonesians that remained in the country.

Around 10 Indonesians, including two students, have informed the embassy that they have chosen to stay there, he said.

"However, if conditions continue to worsen, we will have to pursue [evacuation] measures," he added.
