Indonesia conveys condolences on Polish President`s deat

The Indonesian government expressed deep condolence over the death of
Polish president Lech Kaczynski and First Lady Maria Kaczynski in a
plane crash.
The death of President Kaczynski is a great loss to the people of Poland
and the world, the Indonesian Foreign Ministry in Jakarta said on
Saturday.
The Indonesian President, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono also expressed his
deep condolences over the incident to the government and people of
Poland and pray for the victims.
Russian news agency Itar-Tass reported, that the Polish president had
been confirmed dead and at least 86 others were also killed in the
accident, citing the Ministry of Emergency Response.
The plane crashed while approaching the destination airport in the city
of Smolensk. The accident occurred at approximately 1.5 kilometers from
Smolensk airport due to heavy fog conditions.
Polish senior official said that the Polish military leader and head of
the presidential household were also in the plane together with
President Lech Kaczynski and his wife and several families of other
senior officials.(*)
